Will SAP become open source?

Is SAP jumping on the open source bandwagon? Well, it has announced to join a number of projects with the Apache Software Foundation. But, I think it is far-fetched to think that it will have a major impact on the business culture and licensing practices of SAP on the short run. And as ERP is business critical and security is of the utmost importance, it will take a long time before SAP will face serious competition from open source ERP systems.
