ICEcat PIM downloaded 819 times, including security patch
The ICEcat PIM is now downloaded 819 times, mainly by the ICEcat community. The latest patch includes security improvements to restrict usage by IP address and remove some non-productive links to ICEshop. Efforts are now focused on creating a step by step installation and user manual.

Developing an installer for ICEcatPIM
The new ICEcatPIM is now downloaded 596 times from sourceforge.net. Not bad. One of our developers, Dima, is now working hard on an installer to install the software automatically on a Linux server. Of course, the environment has to be well-prepared including Linux and MySQL. It's another step to make installation easier. A few expectable questions were raised about integration with distributors (ICEimport) and automated integration with Open ICEcat. In projects, we will have to rewrite some scripts for that and include them in the free download package later on.
At least one user tried to download this Linux server software on a Windows pc... No, we're not going to support that ;-).

ICEcat PIM downloaded 371 times
The ICEcatPIM open source solution (Product Info Manager) is downloaded already 371 times in the first few days via sourceforge.net. Not bad. Not bad at all.
This is a good stimulus, to further professionalize the PIM, by adding a SOAP interface to the OpenICEcat database and test the Magento Commerce connector.
